Did I Make It?
Strictly speaking, no. But theoretically, I’m satisfied with the effort.
WordPress.com hosted blog sites cannot imbed any code, so my countdown widget had to be manually changed each day. Apparently, remembering to subtract is not a strength of mine, so somewhere midyear I got off track and had no true idea of the number of days left.
There was a week in July where I was injured and missed more days than usual.
There was a short period in late August/early September where a significant health change in a loved one resulted in the loss of a cherished dream. That loss made it hard to see anything as positive, and so I pre-loaded a number of posts that were not real-time day specific.
Posts dropped during the late part of 2010 as one segment of my business took off (yea!) and created a significant workload increase, coupled with the exhaustion and general sense of overwhelm that always accompanies growing pains.
And, of course, pretty early on I decided to take Saturdays off, then Sundays during football season, and then a random amount of holidays.
But within the year I posted 209 positive things out of 245 planned post days. That’s an 85% effort, or a B letter grade. I consider that successful.
